Joint Venture
Following the agreement by Trustees, some two years ago, to explore hosting a joint residential experience with Girlguiding Derbyshire, a few stages have taken place.

A small committee from both associations met to agree the governance for such an event and, effectively, came up with a paper that highlights ‘go/no go’ markers for if and when an event plan started to happen.
​
We are pleased to say that a separate committee have visited and researched a number of venues both in Derbyshire and just over the borders and now have two possible venues for a joint residential experience to take place, one in Staffordshire and one in Nottinghamshire and we would like to explore the option of hosting an event in summer 2027.
​
Our next ‘go/no go’ marker is to find appropriate organisers and appropriate finance team members – ideally with experience of being involved, at a high level, in large events.

One thing worth stipulating, quite strongly, is that THIS IS NOT PEAK, it is not a replacement for Peak, it is not trying to be Peak. It is a joint residential experience for DERBYSHIRE Scouts and Guides.
